CSI receives the 2011 ISES Esprit Award
for Best Public Event
CSI was awarded the prestigious ISES Esprit Award for Best Public Event on August 6 during the ISES Eventworld 2011 conference in St. Louis. CSI’s award-winning event, called “It’s Cool to be a Geek”, was the USA Science and Engineering Festival held on the National Mall in October 2011. This two-day outdoor Expo featured more than 800 booths with 1500 hands-on, interactive activities and 75 stage shows, all stretched over a mile and a half of downtown DC. This was the inaugural event for USASEF and was successful beyond even the stakeholders’ expectations. CSI is pleased to have been awarded the contract for the festival in 2012 which will again be held in Washington.
